Right - any johnson guys? This is a head scratcher:

1985 johnson, i can not for the life of me figure whats going on with the kill circuit! Motor works GR8- runs perfect...

Dilemma:
The manual push kill works every time, however i get NO continuity on it ever, at all, ohms, beep, diode - nothing and yes its just passing a ground wire to the pack!

Now if thats not enough, the tiller safety lanyard wires were disconnected by PO, now the continuity on that works perfect (beeps to ground when removed/quiet when red clip is on)-

HOWEVER - when i connect the lanyard "kill" wire to the same kill wire that works for the push button - NO SPARK.

Ghost in the machine here? Ive checked 20 times - each kill switch is literally just one ground wire == switch === pack, just one is NO and on NC -

Thoughts? Ghost in the machine?

Found the culprit - oem lanyard switch passed an intermittent amount of ohms thru, too little to trigger the meters beep - either way put a new one in front panel and works perfect now.
