Title sums up problem.
Motor starts on first pull, runs fine..until I push choke in ..then stops.
Pull choke out and we are in business again.
Have pulled carby off and cleaned anything that comes apart... any clues?

Thanks for reply
Haven't touched fuel pump.. when I had carbs off and pulled start cord plenty of fuel was apparent.
If the motor runs fine on choke wouldn't the pump be ok?
Yes, new fuel fileer

what you describe is NOT normal operating condition...so I wouldn't say pump is ok ...

Usually, choke means not enough fuel is flowing somewhere in the system....could be one of the jets or the supply...

Makes sense
I removed and cleaned fuel level needle thingy
i cleaned the jet located in fuel resovoir
There is another jet on side of carb that I also cleaned and
another needle valve.
So if engine runs and revs ok for as long as I like with choke
it doesn't seem logical to me that the problem is with the pump.
The motor just quits when choke closed. Presumably therfore there
must be a blockage in whatever the feed is from the fuel bowl to the not choke jets.. How do I find and clean those.
Not had this issue b4 so flying blind but trying to use logic
