metric parts?

Hello All,

I recently bought some used Volvo Penta parts from a mid 90's boat and found out that the starter and power steering pump have a sticker that says "Metric", what part of these are metric?

usually, the fasteners is the big concern. also covers when a part was redesigned and used metric dimensions...
