Not sure what year motor is?

Hello , am new to the forum

Just purchased a 1988 Chris Craft 22ft w/ J/E 225 ocean pro

The model # is J225TXEUD

Not sure if it is 96 or 97

I was told id was a 96 but had no paper work for motor.

Any help appreciated
