Speed in this oldie 15ft. 1967 Starcraft w/40HP Johnson

Well it's been fun. 1967 Starcraft jetstar is in the water using the 1962 40HP Johnson. Changed out spark wire which were causing a short on & off plus ignition coils. Ran some seafoam thru it and running nice. Idles great. MY question is speed. According to WAZE on dash i'm going 27MPH. Good yes, maybe or could do better? looking up can't find much so here I am once again to ask the pro's.
 
We had the same motor on an Alumacraft Yukon (17') 20" transom, up at camp in Ontario. Covered 3 miles in 5 minutes 30 seconds with 3 guys (200 pounds each) and full gear for fishing including a trolling motor, (Johnson 5.5 hp 20" shaft). Don't know how fast, but I think you could do a bit better......
Okay just calculated......32.7 mph. We checked that distance many times with the truck, driving on the ice. We used to go for fastest time between Browns Narrows and the dock at camp.
