New problem bottom lower unit off for complete water pump rebuild had alarm go off hooked up hose to copper water tube ran water low pressure and water leaking up under power head, replaced tube housing and gaskets still leaking up there into drive shaft housing doesn’t seem to me it should any help would be great . Thanks
 
Fact----The motor pumps water out of the lake.-------This water goes through the motor.------Then water is expelled to cool the exhaust and is returned to the lake.-----So in my opinion what you are seeing might be normal.

Should water be coming inside exhaust tube, where it’s coming out would fill up around drive shaft and water pump housing?
