anyone use API scantool? thinking about upgrading from the Rhinda

Rinda is the industry standard....

Unless you are in a shop and resell a lot of API product, I think the annual fee makes the choice obvious, assuming they'd sell you one...
 
yes, i am a marine technician. i buy about 8-10k a year with them

but is the api better ? your saying stick with the rhinda?
 
I wouldn't say API is "better" but I haven't used it. the marketing literature shows a bunch of graphic shots - some may prefer it over numerical data.

All of the factory manuals I've accumulated typically show RINDA screen shots...

The tech mates are self contained and not as cumbersome to use as the laptop versions...I'd say the choice is yours as its your money.
