I have a 2013 Yamaha (F90LA 250hrs ) 90hp four stroke and when it sits for a length of time as in a month (I am a snowbird) I can turn the key and nothing. I do notice the Volt gauge will drop about a volt or two and after pulling the cover I could hear a small click each time I turn the key (sounds more like a relay than a solenoid as I could only hear it with the cover off). If I keep turning the key on and off after about 35 or 40 times it finally will start. Then it is good for the rest off the time till it sits again. this is the third time this has happened. My starter motor looks to have the type solenoid that is mounted on top of the motor. any Ideas what I should look for?
