Would this motor have a power steering cooler on it? I was told that motor this old did not?

Looking at the parts diagram, it would appear that it does not.

It should have a P/S oil cooler...

Thanks, I'll have to do more digging on this. Don't really know what I'm looking for but...I'm on it.

try above the right front motor mount....black cylinder that has raw water hose on either end....oil fittings on the 'outside' between the hose clamps...when in doubt, google mercruiser oil cooler to get an idea...they come in various sizes depending upon the application.

#22 is the cooler, follow the hose with the hose clamp at the pump, it goes to the cooler
