I have a 1996 Johnson 50hp model j50tleds.
I need another lower end for it, my clutch dog came apart and ruined the lower end gear set.
Does anyone know what is interchangeable with this motor? Or does anyone know where I can get a replacement lower end? I'm in Arizona. Thanks for your time.
 
Those lower units are not robust in my opinion.-----A 40 / 48 / 50 HP model 93 and newer will fit.----Have a few here but you are too far away.
 
About 2000 miles away with an international border.-----Search on E-bay as these sometimes show up.------I would not install a used one without an internal inspection.----These units are not robust.-------The 33 HP motors in the 1960's had bigger bearings and gear teeth that the motor that you have.
