Need help to identify the year and model number for this 15hp Johnson

Hello to all,

I recently bought a Johnson 15hp and I'm needing help to identify the year and model number.

I think it might be a 1995 but not sure and I need the model number to order parts

The sticker or plate with the info that's usually found on the bracket is gone and painted over (see pics)

Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

The motor belongs in the 93 to 2007 group.-----Most parts are the same for those years.-----I say it is a 93 model based on cowling decals.----What parts are you looking for ?----An item like the water pump impeller is the same from 1974 to 2007 models !

Thanks for the info, I need a new prop and eventually the impeller and maybe one of the screw plugs to drain the gear oil.

When ordering parts online, the menu wants you to pick a model number, so wasn't sure if I pick any model I would get the correct parts

which one should I choose ?
 
????----Impeller / drain plug / propellers are the same for 1974 to 2007 models.-----You have to determine the correct pitch prop for your boat.-----A dealer would help you with that.-----Not many experienced outboard technicians are found at online stores.
 
Anyway it's not elec. start or longshaft....so it's probably the J15RETB....could be the J15EETB.

See they are hard to find. Used one on eBay, I could fix it nicely here for you, but all the shipping would make it costly.
