Coil Locating Ring 317001

Do you think Makerbots are accurate enough? I thought the stability on the standard materials and accuracy of most DIY printers would not support the required tolerance for something like this.
 
How precise do you think they have to be? mount them with the leading edge of the laminate even with the bevel on the boss and you will be fine.
 
Wish I had known that. I'm a bit of a novice, learning as I go. From the manuals, it appeared that alignment was critical, so I bought the precision tool. That was many months back. I've learned to ask questions now before spending too much $$.
