What is this kind of part?

Found this when replace engine oil. But i can not identify this.

Tried many time to looking for in my engine parts list(mercury 60 hp elpt 4 stroke 2015)
What is this?, maybe piece from outside?

Pison - nope(no for merc 60 elpt)
Cylinder liner - ???

What's it made out of? Looks like a piece of cowling insulation.

It is metal. I think aluminum

Maybe a part left over from a previous repair, I have found crazy stuff down in outboards too.

Where did you find this part ?----Did it come out of the oil pan ?----Or was it just laying around in the lower cowling ?

It came out of the crankcase with oil. with splash

Skirt of piston? I tried compare piece and a pistone photo. Piece similar but no. This is piston of mercury 60 elpt efi 700-893524T08



Maybe cylinder liner? i don't know how it look

Correction. It's magnetic. Likely cast iron
