Older OMC V4 Lower unit electrical cable

I acquired this lower unit, hoping it may be a replacement for my 1979 100 HP Johnson Javelin Not sure what this black wire is for? and where to connect to the engine. I I didn't see it in the online diagrams on the website. I have attached the dwg.
