Gear box swap - my 2009 40hp etec with 2014 50hp ?

Hi all,I destroyed the gearbox on my 2009 40hp Etec after hitting a large rock,found a 2014 50hp motor at a dismantlers with low hours.Looked everywhere trying to find if this box is interchangeable.On most parts websites the 2014 is listed as an "F type " box but mine isn't listed like that.Different part numbers of course.Should it fit ?
 
One motor appears to be a 2010 model.----Notice that the newer gearcase uses dowels for guaranteed alignment.----That would give it a different part #.

Ah,thanks my mating surface may not be drilled for them.Also I heard that the later motors maybe have a different gearbox ratio.....
