Fuel vent issue Skeeter zx22

I have a Skeeter zx22 w/ a 60 gal tank. The refueling port is Perko. When refueling it is obvious that fuel flows from the tank into the vent line thus restricting fuel flow into the tank. When I blow low pressure air into the vent line the restriction is cleared and air rushes out. I have to blow air into the vent line 2 or 3 times when adding 40+/- fuel. DIY suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

I'd bet the vent line has a 'dip' (low spot) in it...any fuel entering this region will block the free flow of air as it gets displaced when fueling up (just like a trap in a plumbing drain line)...the vent line should have a continuous 'downwards slope' from the hull fitting to the tank.

Eliminate the dip and you should be good to go....

Thank you Sir, I will check for a dip this afternoon. Plan of fishing tomorrow and will refuel after the trip. Will let you know. Again, thank you.
