1994 Force 40hp - How to check timing?

Motor: 1994 Force 40hp (serial # 0E067660)

I have a service manual but it does not have any information about checking if the timing is correct. Could someone please help point me to the right resource as I am sure this question has been asked before. FYI -- I did search the Force motor forum but couldn't find any specific information for my motor. Thanks.
 
If your motor has issues it likely will not be a timing issue.-----Trouble shooting should be done to find out what might be wrong.
 
Thanks both. Motor runs great right now. Just the low speed idle is a little bit high. I brought up timing because I wanted to learn how to check and confirm if it's within specification in the manual.
 
Don't worry about low speed timing.----It looks after itself believe it or not.---This a 2 stroke engine and not the same as " granpa's 283 chevy !!
