I am researching into attaching a 12v linear actuator to steer my 9.9 Honda kicker wirelessly. I am wondering if anyone has had success in just purchasing a linear actuator separately and installing it instead of using the expensive ones from (intelisteer or panther marine). The actuators aren't that expensive and the remote kits are easy and cheap. Has anyone had success with this, and what was the manufacturer of the actuator you used? If you have pictures of your outcome that would be appreciated as well. the more info before i start the better. Thanks for any interest!
