Need Help with the year of this Evinrude 30hp Motor

I have attached pictures of a 30HP Evinrude that does not have an identification plate. I need assistance identifying the year. Thank You

The decals on the cowling look to be a 1995 / 96 / 97 model.----Not much difference on these from one year to the next.----There are some things like the recoil starter that may indicate a different year , or a motor that has had work done.
