Specs,
Engine, 1976 Evinrude 9.9 mod. e10seleus Yacht Twin
Boat, Smoker Craft LOA 13' 9" beam 4' 7" weight unknown
Approx weight in boat - 450 lbs.
Prop - 10 x 7
RPM - unknown at full throttle

Boat barely gets on plane, guessing it runs about 5 - 6 mph, anyone have any experence with similar skiff and engine ?

Recommendations for pitch ??

FWIW I had another 14' with a Merc 9.9 with 2 duck hunters, dog, 50 decoys, cooler it ran ( guessing) about 20 mph, really scooted along. Prop size and pitch unknown.

Does it run better without the cover??? Both cylinders firing? Shut it down and use your hand to do a rough comparison of cylinder temperatures. any water intrusion into the hull? Marine growth on hull??

What is the height of the transom on this boat ?----The model # posted indicates a 1997 model with perhaps a 25 " shaft length ????----Prop ( 7" pitch ) would be for a big boat / heavy load.-----Any pictures of this motor ?

Bobbyc, same cover on or off, both cyls firing same head temp, no water , clean hull.

Racerone, 15" transom, odd ball shaft 17" long from mount bracket to top of Cavitation plate, cav plate is 2" below the hull, probably should raise the engine 2" , engine cover says " Yacht Twin " Might explain the 17" shaft. I agree with you that a 7" pitch is for a heavy boat
