Hi,I would like to check my pistons, conrods, etc, I have removed the head, and in the process of splitting the crankcase to gain access to conrods, I have removed bolts and pins, but cannot split the crankcase for some reason.
I have tried giving it a gentle tap with a lead hammer, any idea's would be very welcome.
Best Wishes,
wee irv.

Put the hammer away.----Remove the reed plate ?----There are 6 main bearing screws and 2 are hidden.---Removed the bottom gasket ?--I am not there to see , so I have to ask !

Hi, I have removed the reed plate, gasket,(and can see the one con rod), the flywheel, and all the bolts, and 2 pins, I can see including 2 from underneath. The engine is still in place. I could try and send you a photo

Well take the powerhead off the exhaust housing. Can we assume you have removed the magneto? Just wondering, why does it need internal inspection?
