2.2 Mercury Parts Help

I just picked up a mercury 2.2 and i'm looking for a couple parts. Turns out the fellow that I got the motor from not only smashed the cowling and lost the gas cap but he also tried to sand down the needle valve.

The fuel cap lists as 36-812912 and the needle and seat kit is 95263A1

I know that these parts can be found on Ebay but they want a fortune for them and shipping to Canada is through the roof lol. Does anyone know if there is a more common needle and or seat that will work in this setup? Can I use a different mercury fuel cap?

I am buying and repairing to sell if that makes this any more logical. I paid $50 for the motor but it's really only $200 repaired without the cowl I imagine and the cowl is nearly impossible to find as well.

Im in Ontario Canada. I dont have the serial number handy but I can get back to you with that

does anyone know where I can purchase a coil # 95242T (F9T405) any advise will be greatly appreciated

One reason some older domestic motors are popular.----No issue finding new ignition parts.

I would be looking in parts boxes here.-----Testing / trying a coil from a different brand of outboard motor

The 1986 2.2 Mercury was made by Tohatsu it seems all the parts have been discontinued for both
not sure how to figure out specifications to fine a comparable coil that might work.

Nothing to lose in trying a coil from say a 1975 model 9.9 Johnson.
