My friend recently did some work on his 40 horsepower Mariner Outboard. He did some wiring. Everything starts and runs okay but when you turn off the key it keeps running. Even if you disconnect the battery it continues to run. I saw some old forms talking about this. Does that sound like a rectifier problem or is it a problem in the wiring at the ignition switch?
