Just ordered this motor. Been reading the manual online. Are there instruction videos for 20hr valve and timing checks? Don't have a dealer nearby and wondering if a DIY can be done. Also, impeller replacement is every 50-hrs or 3-months. That seems a little excessive, but this is my first 4-stroke and I want to get it right. Is this done by most owners? Thanks guys!
 
Those valve and timing checks are at 200 hours or 1 year as per the owners manual.
Factory recommendation is a wp kit annually. In the cold clear Great Lakes waters, we usually go 3 years.
If you have a strong telltale, there is no need to check the impeller.

Thank you Sir, and also for the link to the FSM. Actually, the OM is saying check those things, along with other things including changing LU oil at the first 20hrs or 1-month. Subsequent checks at annual intervals.
