Alpha One Gen 2 Driveshaft Hitting Bellow Sleeve upon Install

Its in forward, in gear and engaged, gear shifter in good position and all that, alignment tool used etc...

As soon as I can get it barely on the threads and the drive shaft inside the bell housing it stops in the same place every time no matter what the angle. I'm even rotating it constantly even while lifting and sliding it in, and it stops at the same place every single time any thoughts?

Then I have to literally pry it back out even though it barely went in.

is it stopping about 2" from the end or further out? i have had issues where the o ring would stick in the gimbal bearing.

I finally figured out how to use the alignment tool. I didn't know how far it needed to go in since there are no markings on it and I couldn't find a video showing how to use it. But it was the bearing swiveled a little bit inside that was knocking the angle off..
3rd year boat owner of a 98 Bayliner Capri, first time working on a boat, did the gimbal bearing and seal, upper gear case seals and impeller kit I'm pretty stoked.
Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone.
