Hello, everyone,

New to this forum and looking to tap into the collective experience of its members. Before pulling the trigger on a new ECM, I'm trying to determine if there is anything else that would cause this condition.

EOKO, #1,2 and 3 injector connectors display open circuit on the ground pulse, #4 has some resistance in the circuit. Wiring from #4 connector to the ECM connector is good. Lost power when pulling away from the launch.

ECM # 34750-ZY6-003 research determined this has been superseded a number of times, challenge is determining which ones are compatible.
-013/-043/-053? Got different responses from different dealers.

Thank you.

The convention is KOEO (Key On Engine Off)

Anyway...

Before condemning the ECM, disconnect the # 4 coil ground connector and unplug the connector at the ECM containing the other end of that wire then see if there is still any continuity to ground. If so, find where the wire or socket has gone to ground. If not, and you still see a constant ground at the ECM #4 coil driver socket for that wire then the coil driver is shunted to ground and the ECM is toast.

But, be aware that a bad ignition coil is often what kills the coil driver in the computer and you will not want to buy a new ECM just to have a bad coil kill it in a short time. New ECM with new coils is often the best way to go even though it stings the pocket. If one coil has taken out the driver it is a possibility one or more of the other coils are heading the same way due to age and/or cycles.

Good luck.
