gauges not working

I have a 2004 Alumacraft Trophy 180. Recently all my gauges stopped working. The strange thing is when I turn the key to on, all the gauges work. As soon as engine starts they immediately quit. Has anyone ever seen this before.
 
i would say you have a marginal connection, in either the B+ or the ground side of the 'loops' that typically power the gauges...
 
Thanks for the reply. I believe I located the problem. the key switch for the ignition is worn, so when the engine fires you let go of the key and it's going slightly past the start position. Finally something I can fix myself:)
