I have looked all over for the oil filter where is it? It's a 1988 Volvo chevy 5.7 moter with omc outdrive

port side rear of the block same place for approx 65 years worth of Chevy small blocks! Unless you have some unusual remote filter set up.
here's an old pic of mine, its a 4.3 V6 but same set up....
