Hi
Ive got an 8.1 GI-EF that has MEFI-4. Yesterday, after running for about 30 min, getting off plane and then trying to get back on, I got the beeping alarm every 10-15 seconds. Temps, oil pressure, etc were all normal.
Today I went out to the boat to read the codes with an LED and paper clip but the LED will not blink or even light up. I tried the other motor that was not giving an issue and it did the same thing. I know that I set it up correctly and had done this on my previous Mercruiser.
Anyone ever run into this before? Is there something special that has to be done that is different from what I had done on my previous Merc?
