Where is our overheat alarm? 1995 Merc outboard

The gauge on our 1995 procraft 180 shows that our 1995 Mercury 150 HP motor runs hot over 200 rpms. But we never hear an alarm. I keep reading where others hear an alarm. I would think there would be a overheat alarm or sensor on the dashboard, but maybe not. The telltale water is 160 degrees, but maybe if we drove it longer it would get hot and we would hear an alarm.

Thank pro craft's have dash ignition switch, if your boat does, look under dash , theirs a buzzer close to ignition switch. Purple wire an Tan wire, buzzer is bad more than likely.
