Adding an alternator

I am looking at a used 2003 barely used 6hp Yamaha.

It will be used to push my sailboat which could benefit from an alternator. Can an alternator be added after the fact?
 
There were no 6 HP two stroke Yams distributed within the USA. If you have one you will need to contact a Yamaha dealer or distributor for the region in which the motor was sold.
