Hello Everyone;

Im new to the forum, I see that there is a lot of talent within this community, so i bring you my new problem to the plate,

New owner of a 1987 Wilker Catalina 17' Bowrider with a 4.3L OMC Cobra 1000 Hrs

My problem is a no crank no start condition
Working.... Nav Lights, Horn, Blower, Pump, Tilt,

* Ignition Switch has 12.4V on the Yellow Wire when in the start position
* Ignition Switch has 12.4V on the Purple Wire when in the start position
* Ignition Switch When Cranking Both Wires Show 0V
* Ignition Switch has a good ground.

* All Solenoids Test at 12.4v
* Starter Wire from Battery 12.4V

There are 2 smaller terminals which i believe is from Start Signal From Ignition Switch they test at 0.18V when Cranking

I have checked the following,

Battery's Both 12.4V Volts - Ok
2 x 50A Fuses - Ok
1 x 20A Fuse - Ok

If anyone out here in the community could help or point me to the right direction would be greatly appreciated... Thank you ;)

So today i checked the ignition switch

Ignition Position ( OFF )

Jumper - RED ( Fused Wire ) to the Purple Wire - This turned on your ignition system

Another Jumper - RED ( Fused Wire ) to the Yellow/Red - Crank and Start

The motor started without the ignition key turned on, so i suspected my ignition switch was faulty.

Replaced the Ignition Switch then tested - wow it started up with the muffs Nice and smooth...
2 cranks later she dead again.

Boost to start

Checked Charging System at Idle @ 10.7 V Reading took @ Alternator
Checked Charging System at 1000 rpm @ 13.7 V Reading took @ Alternator
I did not try revving higher than 1000 rpm with muffs on.

Checked the Batteries

1 Battery - CCA 400 - I load tested this battery - Result CCA 100 Health 7@
