Cylinder head torque for a 95 Force 120

I have what I THINK is a 95 Force 120. The serial number tag is missing. Someone told me to look at the date on the starter which is “8 04 94”. When I look up the specs I see 120 ft. Lbs plus 1/4 turn and also 225 ft pounds. It seams to change around 95. I wouldn’t be so concerned but obviously if I go with the 225 I may break bolts and if I go with 120 water may get into the cylinders. Here’s a pic of the engine.E1A82D60-5225-417D-9B57-9CAD1469E3ED.jpegEF023132-21C4-4A09-BCFD-BA89520497CE.jpeg

Those torque values are in INCH pounds, not foot POUNDS! 225 inch pounds is approximately 18-19 ft lbs. I don't have the exact torque value for your engine but it will be close to the 225 in lbs. Look it up to be sure and verify if the value is ft lbs or in lbs.

Topgun, you’re right it’s inch pounds not foot pounds. I’m so used to working on cars and trucks it was natural for me to say foot pounds. That’s for pointing that out. I’m still not sure if it is 120 inch pounds or 225 inch pounds.

See the other post.

Where did you find the 120 and another 90d?
That sounds like the torque for the rod caps(just
did a 98/120) and this is the value for them.
