Anti-Kink spring in water line

Hello,
Last time out, I had an overheat issue at low speed. After replacing the impeller didn't solve the problem, I found that the outdrive hose was kinked. Realizing that the top end of the hose can't be removed without taking the drive, and bellows off again, I quickly lost the stomach for the work.

Has anyone had any luck installing an anti-kink spring into the water hose?
Thanks.
Brian

it kinks because is the wrong type of hose or the hose is a bit too long. Do yourself a favor and use the newer molded hose. Much, much easier to install

Ayuh,.... Or twisted, or the spine of the hose not respected,......

A properly installed hose, don't kink,.....
