Hello,

I'm looking for engine manual for Chevy 350 inboards houseboat 1978 Gibson-CarlsCraft model. Also would like any insight on the Gibson v. CarlsCraft design partnership.

TIA, Cory

Most everybody that makes marine engines buys the standard production engines from GM....and then they bolt on their 'products' to make a given brand name...and that's where the differences will be in the factory service manuals...

Usually, you can find out who's package you have by looking for the serial number sticker or plate on the engines...decals can help but are easy to change. Some also cast their logos into the larger bolt on parts. In some cases, the part is unique enough to be readily identified by eye...finally, if its original, the shade of paint can help in identification...

Is this an inboard/outboard boat?
If so, which stern drive?

What specific engine information are you looking for?

If Volvo Penta stern drives:
1978 is a bit too late for these to be Eaton.
1978 is right in there for Marine Power or perhaps even PCM.
