I am trying to find out what year my engine was made but i cant see the model number as it has faded away however the serial number is still barely visible. It is a 40 hp and i believe was made after 1989 however i could be wrong. I think i can make out : A 02402060 but i think the last two numbers have also been rubbed off which is a pain because i know you can identify the year from them.
any help would be greatly appreciated
