Johnson 200 horse fuel pump

I have a Johnson GT 200 horse outboard with the VRO pump I am currently mixing gas and oil but now I need to replace the fuel pump can I replace this with an older sandwich style pump or must it be used with the VRO pump again I am mixing gas and oil I’m not using the VRO
 
Everybody works to a different standard.------There is a 2 pump combination type set-up available ( mastertechmarine ) or I know I would install 2 pumps from say a 1966 model 100 HP Johnson.----Those will pump plenty of fuel.
