Help with tilt trim issues

Hello. I'm not boat intelligent. I bought an old boat to repair restore. Has a 1977 75 hp evinrude. Model 75743s. Has a tilt trim. But tilt motor is no good. Also I see the cylinder leak some. So I ask do I repair or replace. if I replace what are my options. Do I need to replace with exact same system or do I have other options. If so. How do i choose a tilt trim for it. Is it like batteries or pants. Only size matters ?? Or are there specific things to consider. As I say I'm an idiot about this subject. Any help is appreciated

If it has the 2 external tilt / trim rams you can mount a MERCURY / MERCRUISER pump unit to provide oil pressure.-----The unit mounts inside the boat out of the elements.
