Crankcase sealer

Opinions please: What are you guys using to seal the crankcase joint? My usual stuff is no longer available.

Loctite 518.----You have to use a sealer with low " filler " content.----You want most ( 98.5 % ) to squeeze out.----Just so you end up with a film 0.0005" thick for proper bearing and reed block " clamping " on assembly.------I have seen a film of sealer up to 0.008" thick which meant the bearings and reed blocks were loose and motors went " boom " in short order.
 
A little research on Permatex website says that Loctite and Permatex are cousins or closer. If the row from their product interchange will copy properly this is what I found.
