2006 Mercury 60hp EFI Big foot won't start.

Fuses are good. Cranks good. Battery is new. It was setting for July so I pumped the primer bulb good but not even a single firing. What else can I check before I pull from water and head to repair shop? Thanks!
 
First and easiest is to see if it has any spark. Pull a wire off of a spark plug put a screwdriver in the end of the wire where the plug goes and hold the shank of the screwdriver close to the block and spin the engine over. Want 7/16 in of spark or more. If you have spark then find a squirt bottle or eye dropper or something so you can squirt a little fuel in the mouth of the carb and see if that has any effect.
