Newbie here Hello everyone! I have never owned a boat before and was able to pick up a 69 Johnson 40 HP that runs. I was looking at the foot and there is a large hole that looks like maybe there was a screen or plate that has broken I don't know if it is a big deal or not. You are looking at the bottom of the foot straight up. the water intake is is the hole on the bottom and has a screen. You can see the water intake hose clearly through the open hole. What are your thoughts?
