the sholders of the pin, where the tool sits have broken so the tool cannot get a good bite to loosen and remove it. the space between the gimbal housing (bellhousing) and the gimbal ring is very close and i do not think i can get a sawzall into it without damaging the ring , the bellhousing is being replaced so damage to that is not an issue.
the bellows and all the hoses were just replaced in the spring so i do not want to use heat to loosen the pivot pin in fear of melting something.

i got it out, i removed the opposite side pin and washer, then pressed a pry bar on the broken sidebetween the housing and the ring. took a sawzall to it, leaning it towards the housing and cut it clean off. no damage on either parts, i was worried the pin was hardened steel and would be a bear to cut but it was relatively easy
