Mercury 50 coils

Hallo folks! Is this two coils compatable? Coil belong two mercury 50 but diferent serial numbers. Red is 9136284, blue 9265277.

Yes........... the orange one is older. Why are you replacing it as these rarely fail????

thanks for the reply, i found a broken ferrite core, does that affect the performance of the spark?
i was even thinking of repackaging the core to make everything right.

..."these rarely fail"

I beg to differ! Had to replace a bunch of them (70s vintage). The coating on the miles of coated wire inside these things fails over the decades and allows short circuits.

Must be in your area but in 45+years of service I have replaced enough bad coils to fill a 2 gallon bucket..

thank you guys the engine has a spark but during the inspection I found a broken ferrite core on all coils. in my country it is impossible. mission to buy a new part or it will be very expensive. we have.dealers for mercury but more.they like.to work with newer.motors
