BF50D 2006 fuel restriction issue with grommet the same as the Yamaha T50TLR??

A friend is having a similar issue with his 2006 Yamaha T50TLR motor. It will run for up to 40 minutes and then just die in the water. He replaced the low pressure fuel pump and fuel lines but no change. The diagram for the Fuel pump shows the high pressure fuel pump has the same configuration as the Honda BF50D. They call the part a pump damper for the Yamaha while for the Honda it is called a grommet. Has there been any recalls or bulletins on this issue with Yamaha?? I know this is actually a Yamaha issue but after getting the recent info from the Honda forum on the grommet I was hoping that someone that works on both would have info on it. The BF50D was a 2014.
