Mercruser engine swap with 1988 3.0 Chevy motor

I have a 1988 Bayliner with a 3.0 Chevy engine cobra stern drive. Will a 3.0 from 80s mercruser motor swap out with this Chevy that is blown.

Ayuh,..... The long blocks should be the same,.....

The fully dressed motors are very different though,....
