Hi All I really need some good advice here as the boat is due to be sent to Greece on a ship next week and I’m having issues with timing.
basically if I try to set base timing mode by putting the jumper in place between the 2 white female bullets on the distributor then connect the interupt engine harness as described in the manual there is no change in engine tone as would be expected. Never the less I set timing to 1 degree BTDC.
i then re connected the interupt and again no change in tone. I checked advance and it did advance when rpm run at 2400. The next day I removed the jumper and got no spark, reconnecting the jumper results in spark !
then the nose cone blew off the starter !
does this sound like I need a new module in the distributor?
any advice please ? I’m desperate to get this solved ASAP
