1986 60hp Johnson choke primer

My choke primer seems to work well however it leaks around the red lever. Can I change the o ring without taking the top plate off ? Thanks
 
Fact-----This is a simple repair job.---The wee nipples often break on the cover during repair work.----Kit comes with a new cover.---Easy fix !!!
 
Thanks, I know about the kit but was hoping to avoid removing the hoses as they are in a bugger of a spot and could be hard to get back on. I'll give it a crack and hopefully not too hard to get them back on.
