Evinrude ignition switch

Hello all. I have what is probably a very simple question but I am scared to screw anything up since it’s electrical related. I have to replace my ignition switch (93 60 evinrude). The original switch is a 6 terminal with wire connectors that slide over each terminal. I had one I had bought a few years ago laying around and decided to look at it. That one is a 5 terminal with a boss screw. My question is, how would I connect my yellow/black wire to the boss screw location? Thanks in advance for any help.
 
By cutting off the push on connector for the spade terminal and fitting a ring terminal of the correct size perhaps ?
(use an insulated type or cover the crimp with heat shrink sleeve)
