1996 Mercury Force 40 ELPT two cylinder flywheel torque

I have a 1997 Starcraft Stardeck with a 1996 Mercury Force model 40ELPT serial #OE258593 two cylinder motor. Could someone please give me the flywheel torque for this motor?

I just purchased an online Clymer manual and it says the torque on the flywheel nut is 80 lbs. up to 1994 and 125 ft. lbs. for a 95-96 40hp. Seems a bit much, don`t want to snap the end of the crank off. What does everyone think?
