45 hp Merc, OB258829, loses water stream above 3)4 throttle.
Replaced water pump housing, gaskets, and impeller.
Replaced exhaust end plate gaskets, #2 had blow by.
There is no thermostat in the system. Not removed, there is no where to put one.
Just started this problem end of last year. Problem goes away and comes back. Now it won't go away.
Scratching our heads

Is it a long shaft motor ??----Is the transom 20" high or different ?----Checked for blockage in the telltale fitting / hose ?----Checked the fitting at the top of the water tube ?

Motor is mounted on the transom.
Back flushed system, blown system out with air, new pee tube hose and fitting.
Trimmed for plane.
Problem just started. Never had an issue before

How is engine temp and where is the source for the tell tale water? Some engines sample the cooling water for the exhaust manifold? If engine is staying cool enough (feel several places on the block....exhaust manifold plate, water jacket cover where plugs are located, top of block) for you to hold your hand on the powerhead while the tell tale quits, and you are plumbed off the exhaust manifold, it may be clogged. Running in weeds, moss, salt water?

Part 79799 might be the problem and of course NLA.----Might have to look into making them / having them made for me.
